This presentation will provide you with an update on significant state and local tax issues with respect to trusts including the latest information on the definition of a resident trust here in Minnesota and around the country. In this presentation you will learn about the Minnesota Supreme Court's decision in Fielding v. Commissioner, the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Kaestner v. North Carolina, and the actions being considered by the Minnesota Legislature on changing Minnesota's definition of resident trust.
