While taxpayers try to leave Minnesota for states with more friendly tax climates, Minnesota “strikes back” by aggressively auditing and litigating their residency changes.  There have been several new Minnesota Tax Court opinions on residency, updated publications from the state (including a new residency questionnaire) and several proposed law changes that the Minnesota Legislature has been considering.  This presentation will use a scenario-based approach to discuss these recent updates.
