An Overview of the New Minnesota Trust Code

Our speakers, who were both members of the subcommittee that spent more than 4 years working on the new Minnesota Trust Code, will offer a broad overview of the new law, with an emphasis on what is new and what has changed.
Special attention will be given to directed trusts, decanting, and the enhanced ability to modify otherwise irrevocable trusts.
Learning Objective:
By the end of the session, attendees should have a greater familiarity with the broad outlines of the new Trust Code, along with deeper knowledge of the three key topics of Directed Trusts, Decanting, and the rules governing modification and termination of irrevocable trusts.
